Gary H. Schroeder

circa 1985

Gary Schroeder has over eighteen years of computing experience. His first computer was the Commodore VIC-20 which he used to learn programming in Basic and 6502 machine code. As an independent contractor for Synapse Software in El Cerrito, California, Gary designed and programmed the video games "Astro Patrol" and "Glub Glub" and was also involved in the design of a spreadsheet application.

Using a Commodore 64 computer for Astral Image, Gary designed and programmed a terminal emulator program called "SpeedTerm" for downloading and uploading files from CompuServe. When CompuServe came out with a competing product, Gary turned to computer consulting in Marin County, California.

Gary converted several businesses from manual bookkeeping systems to computerized systems and in the process learned accounting skills, database design and the networking of computers. He has had several responsible positions as a computer professional.
Gary Schroeder is the principal at ZexTek a computer consulting firm in Nevada county. His personal web site is Gary's Mountain Inn

When he is not working, Gary enjoys surfing the net with Cyberman or ZexTek. He likes music; especially the Blues and Rock 'n Roll. His favorite band is Pink Floyd. Dancing and dining out are also favorites. The portrait above was taken in about 1985 so he looks a little different now.
